• Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI)

  FCI  is the international dog registry. Members are the parent dog associations from countries around the world.

• International Hovawart Federation (IHF)

  IHF is composed of the hovawart breed clubs recognized by their respective countries' parent  dog associations.

• Rassezuchtverein für Hovawart-Hunde e.V. (RZV)

  RZV is the original German hovawart breed club, founded in 1948. It is a member of both IHF and VDH.

• Verband für das Deutsche Hundewesen e.V. (VDH)

  VDH is the parent dog association in Germany and a member of FCI.
